The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is the uniformed, all-volunteer component of the United States Coast Guard. The Auxiliary was created by an Act of Congress in 1939, and has grown to over 32,000 members nation wide who daily support the Coast Guard in all its non-military, and non-law-enforcement missions, providing nearly 4 million hours of support annually.

Flotilla 6-7 in Ossining was established on February 3, 1990. Thanks to the service of its members, 6-7 has continuously supported Ossining and the local boating community for 35 years. The Auxiliarists of 6-7 are dedicated to promoting and supporting the Coast Guard missions of Recreational Boating Safety, Marine Safety, and public outreach. From Croton to Tarrytown, we are here to support our communities on the Hudson River and the Hudson Valley area.
